Pistachio is one of the most
significant oil seeds from the family of Anacardicea. It is composed
of a kernel and a husk. The husk has a hard layer named shell and a
softer layer called hull. The kernel has a green skin with a sweet
taste and occupies different portions of the kernel in various types
of pistachio. The most important types of pistachio in Iran are
Akbari, Kalleghoochi, Ahmadaghaei, Ohadi, Badami Zarand, Momtaz
Khanjari Damghan,Shahpasand, Sefid Pesteh Nogh, and Ghazvini. |
