Pistachio is one of the most important export commodities of Iran, second only to carpet among non-oil exports. It should be added that 65% of the world pistachio is produced in Iran.

The founders of Apadana Pistachio Oil Company had the above matters in mind ýwhen in 2004 they began the research plan for production of pistachio oil and byproducts in collaboration with the professors of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, which is one of the credited academic centers of Iran. In 2005 they established the company with a registered capital of Rls. 1,000,000,000.

Besides, they established Fakhrabad Pistachio Processing Company and the pistachio terminal in Fakhrabad region of Bajestan city, which is one of the most modern pistachio lines. By doing this they meant to implement the requirements of HACCP.

Currently Apadana Pistachio Oil Company has a place in Toos Industrial Estate of Mashhad city for production of pistachio oil, by products, and packaging facilities with globally approved quality. This site is under construction.
